Upon ordering a Skills Video with Athlete Discovery, you will be directed to an online form to complete. The information on this form will be used to populate the Skills Video and provide viewers with your Sports and Academic information. One part of the form asks for your game schedule for the current season. This information is important for others who you share your video with to come watch you play.
We will work with you to coordinate a date that you, your coach, assistant players and your Athlete Discovery representative can film the video. Booking a court where the video will be shot is also necessary and something you will be responsible for. Typical filming is an hour long to get the desired 6-7 minutes of video.
Prior to the day of the filming, you and your coach should go over the different skills you would like to showcase and how these will be executed. It is recommended that these be written down and referred to on that day.
On the day of filming it is recommended you wear your uniform and your coach wear appropriate attire. A picture will be taken of you for your video graphic. You have the option on the intro to your video to leave a brief (30 seconds or less) welcome message to viewers. This is your chance to introduce yourself, where you play and possibly your sports and academic goals. You may want to rehearse this a few times so you are comfortable with it.
Immediately after this, we will go on to the court and begin going through the skills you would like to demonstrate. We will film each skill multiple times, from different angles and will also capture some in super slow motion.
After the filming has concluded, your Athlete Discovery representative will be in touch with you when the video is complete. He/She will provide you with a YouTube link you can share with Coaches, Recruiters, Team Mates, Family and Friends.
